OERu will permanently close on 31 July 2026.

After this date, the website and its online services will no longer be available.

As part of the closure process, learner records and personal information held within the OERu platform will be securely deleted where they are no longer required to be retained.

If you wish to access or save any information from your account, please do so before 31 July 2026.

Facilitators at Kwantlen Polytechnic University

Dr. Rajiv Jhangiani

is the University Teaching Fellow in Open Studies and a Psychology Professor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Vancouver, Canada, where he conducts research in open education and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Rajiv also serves as the Senior Open Education Advocacy and Research Fellow with BCcampus.

Dr. Farhad Dastur

is a cognitive and evolutionary scientist at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Farhad’s involvement in open education weaves together three strands: teaching, research, and service. He is a member of KPU’s open studies group, serves on the BCcampus Advisory Group, and is a 2016-18 Research Fellow with the Open Education Group.​ He believes the future is open.
