Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt, is a unique education institution of North India with a proud history offering programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Sanatan Dharma College was establish in 1916 in Lahore under the leadership of the Indian scholar and educational reformer, Bharat Ratna Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya, ji. After the partition of the country, the College was re-established in Ambala where the foundation stone was laid by India's first President Dr Rajender Prasad on 3 October 1951. The college has educated many notable alumni including Dr N Vohra, Governor, J & K; Mrs Sushma Swaraj, Minster of External Affairs; Sh Anil Vij, Minister of Health and Sports, Haryana; and Nobel Laureate and Nuclear Physicist, Dr Abdus Salam.
The college embraces innovative concepts to prepare students for contemporary global challenges and looks forward to cooperating with the OERu in achieving these goals.
