OERu Service Closure Notice

OERu will permanently close on 31 July 2026.

After this date, the website and its online services will no longer be available.

As part of the closure process, learner records and personal information held within the OERu platform will be securely deleted where they are no longer required to be retained.

If you wish to access or save any information from your account, please do so before 31 July 2026.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the OERu community over the years.

Saylor Academy

Saylor Academy's mission is to open education to all.

Saylor Academy is a nonprofit initiative working since 2008 to offer free and open online courses to all who want to learn. Credentialed professors provide the subject matter expertise for courses, which are built from curated OER and openly licensed as part of our commitment to open education.

Several Saylor Academy courses have been reviewed and recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education. We partner with higher education institutions to provide students established pathways for credit transfer.

We encourage educators and institutions to use our OER content and open courseware.

Saylor Academy is also a member of the Open Education Consortium.
